Steve Rogers is Captain America. He wanted to enlist in the armed forces during the second world war but was rejected due to his poor physique. He then took part in a project to create super fit and strong soldiers. He took the super soldier serum and had the physique of the finest athlete and a human in prime physical condition. The experiment was sabotaged and Steve Rogers became the one and only person to have taken the super serum. He don the Captain America costume and carries a shield which serves the purpose of both protection and weapon. Captain America fights for the American ideals and does not fight for the US government. He is also the leader of Avengers.
