Padme Amidala was the beautiful Queen of Naboo. She was elected Queen of Naboo at the young age of 14. It was as a queen posing as a handmaiden that she met 10 year old Anakin, who was to become her secret husband years later.

After her term as queen ended, the new elected queen requested that she represent Naboo in the senate. As a queen and later a senator, she supported diplomacy. Peace rather than war.

Padme was secretly married to Anakin. They met when he won a speed podrace when he was 10 years old and she was 14. Anakin was completely smitten by her. Later, when she was queen, Obi-wan Kenobi and Anakin were assigned to protect Padme. Obi-wan went after the Count Dooku while Anakin was ordered to stay with Padme to protect her. It was then that Anakin and Padme fell in love and eventually married. Theirs was a forbidden marriage as jedis are not supposed to marry.

Padme fell pregnant to twins. When Anakin turned to the dark side, Padme lost her will to live. Her last act was to give birth to her babies from Anakin and t name them Luke and Leia. These two babies, having inherited their father's force potential granted those against new the evil empire a new hope.
