The Flash
The Flash was one of the first few superheros that arrived on the scene two years after Superman. Jay Garrick had an accident in the lab. An experimental liquid spilled over and he inhaled the fumes. He found he could move super fast and found himself a costume. He used his abilites to fight crime. Later, DC Comics would create another Flash named Barry Allen. This character was featured live action in the television of the same name. This flash orginated by a lightning bolt hitting chemistry lab apparatus where Barry Allen was working. When he came to , he found he had lightning fast ability and modelled himself after the Flash. DC Comics would attempt to explain the two Flashes by having two different worlds. Eventually , Barry Allen would die and his role would be taken over by Wally West who also got his powers through a similar freak lab accident.
