The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight is another name for Batman. That is the title of the next Batman movie, staring Christian Bale. The best casting by far. Hey, he really brings out Batman the way he was depicted in the comics. The deadly stare of the avenging angel who terrorizes the criminal world.
Vengeance is his driving ambition for as a young boy, he saw a criminal brutally shoot both his father and mother in a botched robbery. That young boy grew up with a single-minded determination to rid the world of criminals once and for all.
Growing up, he trained his body to hone it to physical perfection. A master of every martial art known to man, he has no powers but his skill, brains and perfectly honed body. He is a genius. A brilliant strategist. A detective who has mastered criminology. A hunter who uses every means to defeat his prey. That is the Batman of the comic books.
Unfortunately, for the earlier Batman movies, the casting has been.. unfortunate.. to say the least. Michael Keaton as Batman? Aaaarrggh. I still haven't gotten over that casting from decades back. George Clooney can carry off the playboy image of Bruce Wayne very well, but as the ruthless, haunted Batman? Nah. They got it right with Christian Bale. He's got the looks and charm for playboy Bruce Wayne, and the ruthlessness of The Dark Knight. Well about time too.
