Yoda is that little green Jedi master who looks like a fur-less teddy bear.
He wield a mean light saber, uses the force expertly and is one incredible little fighter. When the emperor ordered the clones to turn on the Jedis to kill them when they were off guard, Yoda fought his way out of that mess and was one of the very few jedi to survive the attack. It is quite amazing watching Yoda fight. He is so small, yet he jumps around, duelling with even the most dangerous Sith Lords with his light saber.
Yoda was a Jedi master who was very wise in the ways of the force. He lived to 900 years old.
Yoda was a very respected, senior member of the Jedi Council. He was there when Anakin was placed in that council by Palpatine. Anakin even consulted Yoda about his dreams about someone (his secret wife Padme) dying.
Yoda trained both Obi-wan Kenobi, and later, Luke Skywalker in Jedi arts. With Yoda's training, Luke Skywalker was able to resist the dark side of the force and avoide the fate that befell his father.
